"My lean to cedar greenhouse was in a very poor state, falling away from its base and with some rotten timbers. After struggling to find a replacement with no success; it was not a standard size, a friend suggested contacting Martin. Within a few days Martin had been to appraise the greenhouse and provided me with a quote for replacing an exact replica in treated timber. He carefully deconstructed the greenhouse managing to take out all the glass to be reused. Within a week he returned and assembled an exact copy of the original. It was stained to match the colour of the house and looks amazing. I am delighted with the outcome . Martin is a very pleasant and obliging workman . He works cleanly and efficiently and is concerned to do a good job. He is now repairing my gates with equal professionalism. I can whole heartedly recommend him".

"As a result of a garage conversion, we had planned to by a large shed kit online to house the contents displaced by the building work. Due to access restrictions it was not possible to find a suitable pre-built solution. I looked for local alternatives and found “Space for life” (Martin) offering bespoke joinery and having the benefit of being located only a couple of miles away. After one ‘phone call, Martin promptly came to assess our requirement and was friendly, professional and responsive from the outset. He gave us sound advice and listed out several options and enhancements to maximise the use of the available space.

Martin started work on the date promised and completed some groundwork up-front at a very reasonable cost. What was most impressive however was the quality and aesthetic of the build. The shed is considerably larger that anything available to us online and is exceptionally solid and secure. The quality of the materials used, and the craftsmanship means the shed is a real enhancement to the garden as well as being a secure and practical storage space.

What was also very pleasing was the cost, we’ve ended up with a high-quality shed/log store that fits our needs better than any prefabricated alternative – all delivered at a comparable price to the major online retailers and all built by a local tradesman. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Martin to anyone looking for a high quality, superbly finished and cost-effective garden building".
